Understanding yourself beyond behaviour, symptoms, or illness — into the deeper system underneath it.
Healing is rarely found or sustained by focusing only on the surface-level symptoms — an approach that is overly standardised, with a one-size-fits-all framework, prioritising immediate symptom reduction and short-lived recovery, rather than reflecting the complexity of each individual experience and a lasting transformation.
With eating disorders in particular, I absolutely acknowledge that medical care is essential at times. And yet, what often follows can become a standardised, one-size-fits-all pathway that focuses primarily on symptom reduction, rather than the deeper patterns underneath. For many, this can unintentionally extend distress and leave core drivers untouched.
My work sits alongside this, not in opposition to it.
I integrate complementary approaches that honour your individual experience, your nervous system, and the way you naturally process the world — something I was not supported to explore in my own recovery until much later than necessary.
This is not limited to eating disorder recovery alone. Many people I support are also navigating overlapping or interconnected experiences such as neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism traits), people-pleasing patterns, anxiety, trauma responses, body image distress, and other coping strategies that have developed over time to manage overwhelm or survival.
Rather than applying a formula, we work in a way that adapts to you.
These approaches are never used as a checklist. They become part of a responsive, individualised process that meets your personality, your nervous system, and your current capacity. Some people connect through creativity and expression, others through reflection, structure, embodiment, or practical tools.
Together, we discover what actually supports you — not what is expected to work, but what genuinely does.
And all of this takes place in a natural environment, not the standard stagnant office therapy situation expected.
Where appropriate, I may integrate elements of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), art-based exploration, nervous system regulation practices, guided reflection, creative expression, and other holistic methods that support healing beyond conversation alone.
The intention is always the same: to support reconnection — with safety, with self-trust, and with a way of living that feels more anchored and less driven by survival.
This is slow work. Honest work. And it's the work that lasts.
